Trend or Just a Social Wave?

social-media-marketing
Recently many people are focusing alot on using Social Media to market their stuffs. this makes me think is it is going to be just another wave that is going to end soon or is it going to stay and change how people market stuffs online?
Even large corporations are using social media to market their stuffs, carry out their branding and A&P (advertising and promotions) in social media platforms.
It is known that they pay huge amount of money to get fast presence on the social platforms.
How about the old school internet marketers, who does the old school things like email marketing, list building, SEO…etc? Are they losing out if they do not grab a piece of the social pie?
Internet Marketers like Stuart Tan, Ewen Chia, they don’t have very strong presence in Twitter and FaceBook. But does that mean they are losing out?
I think that social media is just another side tool for you to increase your web presence and know more people. People who religiously do list building probably do not think that they need to do social media marketing, because they have a huge list of leads.
And you probably have to look at the conversion rate and efforts-returns ratio. It is easier and more straight forward to just direct traffic to your opt-in page and upsell stuffs from there, than using social media to get traffic to your website.
You have to know what you want in mind. Traffic, list or branding.
Of course it is not a either or situation, but sometimes I feel that Social Marketing sucks away too much time.
If you want to enjoy the best of both worlds, you probably can outsource some of your work so you can get results form both approach.
But definitely, owning your own email list is the most real valuable asset in Internet Marketing or other marketing.
But Social Medium may be just the best tools for you to build your branding and status if you are new to Internet Marketing.

How To Get More Leads For Your MLM Business

contacts
The only way to expand your MLM Network Marketing Business is to have more people you can contact and approach to present and market your business to.
You could probably get the leads offline by purchasing leads, or you can also do surveys or participate in networking sessions to know more people.
But these methods are often slow and time consuming..
Time waits for no Man & Money waits for no one..
The only way you caould automate the leads collection process is to leverage on the tools and platforms available on the internet to help you do so.
Most internet marketers use a opt-in page to collect their leads, to incentivise people in giving their contact, free downloads or memberships are offered in return. For example a free E-Book or a free 7 day trial membership.
You could also use social platforms such as MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter, Friendster or other platforms to collect leads. Primarily, you channel the people to your op-in page to collect leads.
The more leads you have the higher chance you have of making a sale. Its a number game, you need to find your closing ratio. Just that it is a number game of huge numbers.
It is a misconception that you can only do this online, and you cannot apply it on your off line business.
But that is not true. You can collect contact nmbers on your website and follow up with them by phone.
This way you get to enjoy the benefits of both worlds

What is Attraction Marketing?
Seriously I don’t know what is the actual definition of Attraction Marketing, but my guess is that you need to attract people to be interested in what you are marketing.. So you use strategies and tactics to make people attracted about you and whatever you are doing right?
So there was this time, I was talking to a fellow internet marketer, and he kept emphasizing to me that he is a “six figure earner” and that I should learn from the “six figure income earner”. And in the end, he pitied me that I wasn’t going to learn from a “six figure income earner”.
Well, I think he was trying to convince me and make me attracted to his six figure income, so I will learn from him.
But it sure didn’t work for me.
I stood there for awhile, thinking what was he trying to do? Was he trying to attract me or what? Or was he trying to piss me off.
I wasn’t impressed by his six figure at all, but I was amazed at how he was trying to attract me, to learn from him.
Attraction Marketing is to make people attracted to you willingly, there are many ways how you can do this, one of the few ways is to show off your lifestyle through photos, or by your knowledge, or branding you portray.
Earnings is definitely one of the ways but I think it is important not to over do it, or it has to be… subtle, yet leave an strong impact in others.
One of the ways you can do it, is to ask leading questions to make your prospect ask you about your income. Of which you will reply in a humble manner…of course…
This works for most people.
A true successful person will not boast around making sure that everybody knows that he is successful.

Web 2.0 For Your MLM Business
Recently, I read a piece of news article in my local newspaper. The contents of the story goes on to talk about how traditional companies and MNCs have been exploring with methods of marketing with Web 2.0.
The definition of Web 2.0 in Wikipedia is as defined;
“Web 2.0″ refers to a perceived second generation of web development and design, that facilitates communication, secure information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration on the World Wide Web. Web 2.0 concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities, hosted services, and applications such as social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies.
FaceBook, Friendster, Twitter, Jaiku, MySpace and BetterNetworker are some popular examples of Web 2.0 Social Media platform.
The purpose of these platform is to allow people to interact in communities and meet more people. This give opportunities for marketers to know more people and market the business and products in the community.
Most MLMers market the business opportunity and the products. But advertising and marketing in such social platforms is very different from the traditional media.
Because it is a community, you need to build a strong online presence, and instead of blatantly marketing your products and services directly, you can also market how your life have improved with it.
People are more receptive when you talk about your life than the products.
So how do you sell your stuffs?
You need to befriend them and from there make them interested about your products or opportunity.
This process is deemed as time comsuming for many marketers, that is why many of them put out a link to their website and opt in page instead.
I personally feel that nothing beats knowing more people and forming more relationships then collecting leads, of course both have to go hand in hand.
If you can meet people to form ventures and partnership, the benefits will be far greater than simple collecting leads.

22. Offer to write a guest post on a prominent blog in your niche. Link to your own site in the post.
23. Create a great sig line in forums, with your link, and make plenty of useful comments.

25. Answer relevant questions on Yahoo Answers. If you’re chosen as the Best Answer, you can leave your link in the resource area.
26. Twitter URLs and ask for re-tweets.

What is Twitter
This is a guest post by my friend, Kenneth Olenderson. Kenneth believes that Twitter is the next big thing after MySpace but what is twitter?
Twitter has grown to be one of the most popular sites in the world. Twitter grows every day and every night. Bloggers love twitter because it allows them to interact with several people at once. Twitter is a web site that is considered like a micro blog.
Twitter was originally designed for interacting with family and friends but it later grew to a micro-blogging network that allowed you to promote websites and several other products. Twitter quickly became a new trend and people were hooked. Twitter today is known throughout the world and it continues to grow every day.
When Twitter began to grow in 2006, people where a little skeptical on only blogging 140 characters. As twitter went on people began to get comfortable and before the years end, Twitter was the new trend.
As twitter became popular people took advantage of the opportunity and started to use it as a means of promoting products and different types of shows. Politicians started to use twitter as a publicity tool and actors did as well. As twitter grew, more and more people signed up.
To start your own twitter page you can go to the web site and click sign up. Information that is required from you is your name and email address. You will also have to create a password that you can remember. Optional information like your cell phone is your choice to put in.
After your information is put in you may proceed to follow anyone you would like whether it be someone you know or someone you dont know. Your inbox on your email will receive any messages, or as twitter will call them tweets and your cell phone will also receive a txt if anyone tweets you.
As soon as you get followers you will want to update or tweet as much as possible but tweet only on interesting topics or people may see you as annoying and they may even unfollow you. Also people will grow suspicious if you have a thousand followers and only one updated because they may think that you are out to spam or even scam people.

How To Quickly & Easily Setup a Profitable Adwords Campaign
This is a guest post by my good friend, Eric Su of InternetMLMUnderground.com – a MLM training blog. Eric has an extensive knowledge in internet network marketing and he has a really good ebook to offer – “7 MLM Deadly MLM Killers“.
Advertising on Google Adwords can consistently bring you solid laser-targeted customers but only if you know what you’re doing. Building a wrong campaign with the wrong keywords could cost you a big fortune and leave you to wonder why nobody opted in or bought anything.
Well, although learning how to correctly drive targeted traffic with PPC cannot be mastered just with a couple of clicks, building a good Adwords campaign is not rocket science. There is a step-by-step process you can follow that will virtually guarantee to build a bullet-proof Adwords campaign with high click-thru-rate.
Keyword Research 123
This is the most vitally important step to setup your campaign properly. So listen up…
Put yourself in your prospects’ shoes, and write down a list of keywords your virtual prospects might search for.
Use free google’s keyword research tool if you don’t already have an account at wordtracker.com, or you can use their free keyword search tool in wordtracker.com. Or you can use spyfu.com to ethically steal your competitors’ high converting keywords with just one click.
Find keywords with lower competition but also might be the keywords that your targeted prospects use to search for what they need. Use keyword wrapper tool(http://tools.seobook.com/ppc-ad-wrapper/) to convert your keywords into exact keywords and phrases because at the beginning of your campaign, broad keywords will waste you a lot of money.
Create High Performing Ad Groups
This is usually the most common mistake newbies make when setting up their adgroups. They only have one or two adgroups for the whole campaign. This is wrong. You need an adgroup for every different phrase, and keyword. Like “dog training” will be put in to different adgroup than “puppies training.”
For better click-thru-rate and lower cost-per-click, you want to write at least two ad copies, both with your bidding keywords on the title, rotate them evenly so you can see which one performs better.
After about 100 clicks, delete the one that’s not getting clicked on by searchers, write another ad copy to compare with the winner, and do it all over again after 100 clicks.
Write Better Ad Copy
There are a lot of books on copywriting you can read that will help you generate more compelling headlines(go to amazon). If you want to master PPC, you must learn how to write killer headline and copy that can draw people’s eyeballs and boom – make them unconsciously click on it.
Here are some tips to write better Adwords ads:
- Be specific
- Ask a question
- Call to action
- Bribe them
- Think like your prospects
- Observe other’s ads
- Split-test your own ads

Twitter – A Networker’s New Secret Weapon
This post is guest blogged by one of my good friend, Ronnie Cruz, the founder of RonnieCruz.com. Ronnie has extensive knowledge in the field of network marketing and his blog teaches marketers how to marketing online for maximum profits. You can learn more here.
Twitter – a micro-blogging service growing like Kudzu on a hot summer day – has quickly become the weapon of choice in a social networker’s arsenal. This is due in no small part to the speed at which information travels in the Twitterverse. Compared to other social sites like Facebook and Myspace, Sedona Spa owner and avid Tweeter Zane Aveton (@zaneology) says this about Twitter in a recent interview:
“… with Twitter there’s much more immediate interaction.” (watch entire interview HERE)
And she’s really hit it right on the nose – I connected with Zane on Twitter a few short days ago and here I am already quoting her. It’s that kind of “connection” speed that makes Twitter perfect for MLM and all other business related networking. As soon as you follow someone and are followed back, you are immediately thrown into a dialogue with them. Not necessarily one-to-one dialogue but through a person’s Twitter stream you get a sense of their likes and dislikes, what’s important to them, what’s funny – in short you begin to get a sense of who they are. Twitter does this faster than any other platform right now and that’s why it’s a dream come true for Networkers.
You’re already on Twitter… Now what?
When it’s all said and done, the bottom line is, it’s all about genuine human interaction. The key to prospecting both on and off line is to make a connection, to build and nurture relationships. You can’t get on Twitter and start pitching your deal or posting catchy one liners urging people to visit your website. If your Twitter stream reads like a Google Adsense banner, you will by and large be ignored. However, if you look at Twitter for what it really is – a community of people sharing thoughts, exchanging ideas and engaging one another – then you’ll see how powerful a tool it can really be.
So, get connected and start CONNECTING!

How to Write Great Content & Copywrite in Emails

A good email is often appreciated by its reader when the content of the message in the email’s body convinces its reader of your main idea of focus. Anything else that comes across may have the potential to ruin the effect, including bad grammar, spelling, style and content.
Requirements for Good Writing
1. Grammar
No need to be textbook perfect. But do refer to basic grammar rules from high school or college texts. Check with your local librarian for handy sources to check out. And head to online resources like http://www.grammarcheck.com/ to sign up for free helpful newsletters.
2. Spelling
Don’t reply solely on your spell check. Research unfamiliar words in a handy print dictionary or online at places like http://dictionary.reference.com
3. Style
Don’t be afraid to develop your own style. Read favorite authors and you’ll find they each have their own style combining favorite phrases, sentence structure and mood throughout. Experiment with your content and see what flows well and naturally.
4. Content
Use real, solid information. Include client and industry case studies & feedback where you can to provide solid, real content.
Editing your email messages is a must because improper words, usage and content matter can affect the clarity of your presentation as well as reflect on you. It is what makes your effort worthwhile.
Whenever you email someone, you’re basically trying to sell a point. So what better way to communicate than with the language of advertising, copywriting.
Copywriting is the art of using attractively written content focusing around a service or product to sell.
A tool used to tempt the reader by making the items for sale seem attractive, desirable and useful at the same time – and immediately (before supplies run out), copywriting is often described as a hardcore play of words where the best and the most persuasive campaigns win.
Copywriting Tips
1. Headline
Pack a powerful punch here. Check top magazine article headlines of the day to see what’s working best. Tailor yours accordingly.
2. Lead
Draw readers in with a great opening. Look to top articles in the news for ideas. And reach out and grab your readers in a similar fashion.
3. Main Message
Keep this focused on no more than 3 main benefits your product or service offers the reader. Present credible info, not hype. And include testimonial when possible to back up claims.
So go for the selling of your email messages with good, old-fashioned copywriting techniques. Sell recipients on reading more, clicking on your site, or communicating in some other way to show they got your message.

Writing Tips for Email Marketing to Hook Your Readers
The contents of the email marketing messages can keep their readers glued if they are written and presented well.
Since readers like to quickly scan through emails instead of reading them thoroughly, they understand more when explained in less.
So the content should be convincing and well written without any grammatical or spelling mistakes to gain the trust of the potential shoppers.
Tips for Helping Your Readers
- Subjects given to the emails should impress & invite
- Focus on keywords to pull the attention of the reader.
- Bulleted or numbered lists make the matter simpler to understand
- Use simple language to represent your ideas. Use less words, smaller words and words which are simpler to understand. For example, instead of “utilize” type in “use.”
- Avoid using puns / metaphors. They tend to confuse the audience
- Try to start with conclusion because if you know the end you can well start. Then sum up at the end.
So accommodate your targeted audience by writing for them. And watch how they accommodate your email marketing messages!
To get visitors – and repeat visitors – to your website, there are many factors that are important in your email marketing. And the more attention you place in these details, the greater your chances of attracting – -and retaining – your website visits.
Hook Readers
1. Relevant URL
First of all, try to select a website URL that addresses the main benefit to the reader, like EarnMoreCash.com, LoseWeightFast&Easy.com, etc. (Note: these are samples, so please disregard if used my non-professionals.)
2. Consistency throughout emails
Next, be consistent throughout your email message. In other words, mention only a couple key issues surrounding the site page you are leading people to click on. Don’t cloud the email body with other sites, products and services. Keep the flow steady and tight, well focused.
3. Be navigational friendly
Use good navigation on the website and test it BEFORE you send your email. Make sure you CAN click on the link. And make sure whatever you ask people to do there – be it sign up for an eZine, a report or purchase a new eBook or package – that this process CAN be done as directed.
4. Make it simple
And finally, give simple, complete instructions with contact info for help, in case it’s needed. And make sure the contact information is accurate. I.E. don’t send readers to reply emails that bounce.
Pay attention to details. And readers will pay more attention to you and your email marketing message!
